I have been into brown and neutral eye shadows.  My collections is growing.  I finally picked up Maybelline's Chai Latte Eyeshadow.  It's nice matte and shimmer brow and neutral colors.

Monday night to Tuesday Morning April 14-15 2014

IT SNOWED!  The leaves were finally turning green.  It seems like it's brown brown and brown then over night- WOW it's NOW GREEN.  I like the cold weather.  It was I think a "dusting" of snow.  Since there were no snow and we had warm days like above 50 the snow didn't stick to the ground.  Now, if the ground was cold the snow would not have melted.   Sometimes, the sun melts the snow, sometimes the suns makes it glittery and sparkly.
I lived in Florida from 86 to 96 then moved to IL.  I LOVE the winter.  I was born in Philippines.  I have NEVER meet another ASIAN that LOVES the cold.

Chai Latte Eyeshadow

It is snowing here.  It is April.  We had nice weather for a day or two.  That is ok because today I had great deals at my local CVS.  I used to not like CVS, because I did not understand the Extra Bucks and 2% back every 3 months.
On to my deals
Maybelline Chai Latte.  I have picked this up many many times, but put it back in the shelf.  This week it is on sale for 5.00 and I bought the paper at Dollar Tree for the first time in months and there was a 1.00 off coupon.  I also had my Extra Bucks rewards making this FREE!

My favorite lip color.  It's form a drugstore.

Extraordinaire by Colour Riche  Dancing Rose.  It's a nice soft pink color.

It's a nice soft color.  I like this color, but the color I wanted to get was Rose Symphony.  This is a brighter color.



I forgot about it because I was looking at Dancing Rose.  I plan to get this color and Nude Ballet.  This is a natural color, but I am not sure if this color will wash me out.  I will have to try it. 

Chinese New Year

Happy Chinese New Year!
I am half Chinese and we always celebrate it.  Now that I have my own family, we celebrate it too.  In a lower scale.  We order Chinese food, of course, and Noodles are a must.  If I remember right it's for long life.  I do  have a red shade of shirt as well.
I have a friend, she is white, her husband is Chinese, and my Mother in law, that acknowledge this celebration.  The first friend always post a message on FB.  My Mother in law also post and for the last 2-3 years, she sends me a card.  I am not sure she will send one this year since she said she forgot a few days ago.  That is ok.  Just the greeting is good for me.

I am drooling thinking about getting our Chinese food for dinner.  I haven't had Chinese food in a while.

Christmas 2013

It seems like Christmas was pushed to fast and too early.  The stores made me feel like I was missing something if I didn't go to the stores and shopped.  I am all for Christmas, but lets not forget the real reason for CHRISTmas.  We all have our own opinion and this is mine.
It's the birth of Jesus Christ.  Because of him we have grace, redemption and have eternal life in heaven.  I made sure my older daughter knows the reason for Christmas.  It's not about the toys, the things, and whatever trend is hot right now.  To me it's about family, being thankful for the things I have, the cooking, the baking, and just time together.  I am a stay at home mom, so I give gift of baked goods, pies, cakes and cookies. 
We did buy gifts for our 2 girls, clothes, socks and PJ's.  They also got coloring books, My Little Pony toys, and backpacks.  I think each kid got a total of 10 or so things?  Including clothes to toys.  They were happy and sharing the toys as they play.  We prefers a few handful of things that they will appreciate vs a room full of toys and not play with them because it's too overwhelming.
As for me, my husband gave me money and I did NOT use that money to get him gifts.  I got make up for me, some things for the kids, and food.  Haha!  He also got me Hello Kitty PJ- now the girls and I can match- a much needed slipper for downstairs that is sturdy.  I am thankful to be blessed with my health, wonderful husband and kids, and so very thankful for  Jesus because of him my sins are forgiven.  Halleluiah!
